I’ve promised a few people that I’d post a video on my cutting technique. People say how do you make things so quickly, here’s one of my tips in the video. This quilt I’m cutting is a bargello, I needed 12 different colors cut, so I layered 6 at a time. The video lasts 4 minutes for half the quilt, so in total it took me 8 minutes to cut out the entire quilt plus they are all layered in the right order so strip sewing will be quick as well, no fumbling looking for the proper sewing order which saves a lot of time trust me. I can strip sew these units in a couple hours on my awesome Juki sewing machine.

I hope this doesn’t post it twice, our internet is acting up, many say I sew fast and I guess I do, but I do have a fast machine, it’s a juki, and so I have to give her a lot of the credit. In the video I show for those of you who haven’t attended a retreat of mine how I do it without pinning and in no time at all.
